It’s time to show our local heroes some love! Join us this May for a community-led appreciation event dedicated to the brave men and women of the Bothell and Mill Creek Police Departments.
This event is a bridge between our neighborhood families and the first responders who keep us safe. It’s an opportunity for kids to say "thank you" in person while learning valuable safety skills that stay with them for a lifetime.
Event Highlights
- Community Safety Demo: A special presentation designed for kids and teens. Learn about bike safety, neighborhood awareness, and what to do in an emergency.
- "Thank You" Gallery: We will be presenting our local officers with a collection of handmade gratitude from the community.
- Preparedness Station: Learn how to build an emergency kit for your home. We will also be accepting optional donations of pre-assembled emergency kits to be distributed to community members in need.
How You Can Help
To make this event a success, we invite families to contribute in the following ways:
- Handmade Cards: We ask that all participating children make and bring a "Thank You" card from home. Your personal messages and drawings are the highlight of the day for our officers!
- Packaged Snacks: If you would like to provide treats for the department, please bring pre-approved, factory-sealed, and individually packaged snacks (e.g., granola bars, jerky, or crackers) to ensure safety and hygiene standards.

Why It Matters
Building a positive relationship between our youth and first responders fosters a stronger, safer community. By participating, your child learns the value of civic gratitude and gains confidence in interacting with local law enforcement.
Note: For security and scheduling purposes, please RSVP once the final date is locked in. All snack donations must be store-bought and sealed.
